Rose trained in Bangkok and has seven years of spa work behind her, split between traditional Thai massage and aromatherapy. She is the therapist to request when you want a session that opens the body up first and then settles it down, rather than one or the other.
She reads how you are holding yourself before she starts, and she is happy to work quietly if that is what the evening needs.
How Rose works
Rose usually opens with the Thai side of her training. Working through loose clothing on a mat, she uses palms, thumbs and forearms along the body’s energy lines and moves you through gentle assisted stretches. The point is not flexibility for its own sake. It is to free the hips, back and shoulders so that the second half of the session has something to work with.
Then the oils come out. Her aromatherapy massage is slow and even, with a blend chosen for the hour: something brighter for a morning session, something heavier and warmer for a late one. Clients who find pure Thai massage too brisk, and pure oil massage too passive, tend to settle on Rose.
What to expect in a session
Rose arrives with the mat, the table, fresh linen, towels and her own oils. Setup takes about ten minutes. She asks three things before she begins: where you feel tight, how firm you like the pressure, and whether you want to talk or not.
- 60 minutes: a focused session, usually one style rather than both. Good for a tight back after a flight or a week at a desk.
- 90 minutes: her most requested length. Thai stretching for the first half, aromatherapy for the second.
- 120 minutes: the full sequence without rushing, with extra time on the hips, shoulders and feet.
Who books Rose
People who sit all day. Desk work shortens the hips and rounds the shoulders. The Thai half of Rose’s session is built for exactly that.
Anyone landing late at DXB. A 90-minute session that starts with stretching and ends with warm oils is one of the better ways to reset a body clock. Evening and late-night bookings are common with Rose.
First-time clients. Because she checks pressure early and often, Rose is an easy first booking if you are not sure what you like yet.
