Nene is certified in the Wat Pho tradition in Bangkok and has ten years of practice behind her. Her assisted stretching sequence is the reason clients rebook — people arrive stiff from a flight or a desk and leave moving in a way they had stopped expecting.
She works fully clothed on a mat, with no oil, and adjusts every stretch to the body in front of her rather than running a fixed routine.
What makes Nene’s Thai massage different
Wat Pho is the temple where traditional Thai massage was codified — it is the original training ground, not a franchise. Nene completed her certification there and then spent the next eight years practising in Bangkok clinics and Dubai spas before joining our team. The difference shows in her sequencing: she reads your body’s restrictions within the first few minutes and builds the session around what she finds, not around a textbook routine.
Her Thai massage sessions combine rhythmic compression with passive stretching. She uses her hands, thumbs, elbows, knees and feet to apply pressure along the body’s energy lines (sen lines), while gradually moving your limbs through stretches you would struggle to achieve on your own. The effect is somewhere between a deep massage and an assisted yoga session — you feel opened up rather than worked over.
What to expect in a session
Thai massage with Nene happens on a padded mat on the floor, not on a massage table. You stay fully clothed — loose, comfortable clothing like gym clothes or pyjamas. No oil is used, which means no shower needed afterwards and no oily residue on your clothes.
A typical 60-minute session follows this pattern:
- Legs and hips first. Nene starts with the lower body because that is where most restriction lives — especially if you sit at a desk or have just come off a long flight. She will compress along the outer thighs, work the hip flexors open, and take your legs through rotations that test your current range of motion.
- Back, shoulders and spine. With your hips already loosened, she moves to seated and side-lying positions to work the back. This includes spinal twists, shoulder stretches, and sustained pressure on the muscles along the spine.
- Neck, head and finishing stretches. The session ends with neck traction, scalp pressure, and a series of full-body stretches that pull everything together. Most people feel taller when they stand up — that is not an exaggeration.
At 90 minutes, Nene adds reflexology to the feet and hands, plus deeper work on problem areas she identified during the first pass. If mobility is the goal, 90 minutes gives her the time to make a lasting difference.
Who books Nene
Nene’s clients tend to share a pattern: they are stiff rather than sore, restricted rather than injured.
- Long-haul travellers. Eight hours in an economy seat compresses the hip flexors, tightens the hamstrings and locks the lower back. Nene’s stretching sequence directly reverses all of this. If you have just landed at DXB and feel like your body has been folded into a box, she is the therapist to request.
- Desk workers who feel stiff but not painful. If your shoulders do not hurt exactly, but you cannot turn your head fully or your lower back feels stuck, Thai massage addresses the restriction without the soreness that deep tissue can leave behind.
- People who dislike oil or undressing. Thai massage is fully clothed, no oil, no undressing. For clients who are uncomfortable with traditional massage but want the physical benefits, this is the answer.
- Regular gym-goers and runners. The stretching component makes Thai massage an excellent complement to training. Nene’s hip and hamstring work is particularly effective for runners and anyone who squats or deadlifts regularly.
Nene also performs
While traditional Thai is her primary discipline, Nene also performs Swedish relaxation massage on a table with oil. She brings the same body-reading skill to the table — clients who have experienced her Thai work and then book Swedish often comment that she finds tension they did not know they had.
Practical details
Nene speaks English and Thai. She brings a professional padded mat for Thai sessions (no table needed — she just needs floor space roughly two metres by two metres). For Swedish sessions, she brings the full table setup. She has been working in Dubai Marina and surrounding areas for over three years and handles building security, parking and access independently.
Sessions start from AED 400 for 60 minutes. Message us on WhatsApp to request Nene — mention whether you want Thai or Swedish, and she will arrive prepared for whichever you choose.
