What a massage actually costs in Dubai.
A massage in Dubai costs anywhere from AED 150 to AED 1,200 or more, and the gap is almost entirely about where you have it rather than what is done to you.
This page breaks the market down honestly — what each tier charges, what actually changes the price, and what "from AED 350" usually leaves out. What drives the price
Five things that move the number.
Duration. The single biggest factor. A 90-minute session is not 50% more work than 60 minutes — it is where most therapists say the treatment properly starts. Expect roughly a 40–50% step from 60 to 90 minutes, not double.
Where it happens. A hotel spa is paying for the room, the pool, the changing suites and the brand. That is most of the difference between AED 300 and AED 800 for the same pair of hands.
Therapist credentials. A DHA-registered therapist with a decade of specialised training costs more than an unlicensed one, and should. This is the part of the price worth paying for, and the part most easily hidden.
Treatment type. Hot stone and four-hand sessions carry equipment and staffing costs. Specialist work — lymphatic drainage, prenatal, sports rehabilitation — carries a certification cost. Standard Swedish and deep tissue sit at the base rate almost everywhere.
Time of day. Some providers add a late-night surcharge. Many do not. Ask before you book.
Spa versus home massage — the comparison nobody does properly
Providers compare headline prices. That is not the real cost of a spa visit. A mid-tier Dubai spa at AED 400 for 60 minutes actually costs you the AED 400, plus 25–40 minutes driving each way, plus parking, plus arriving ten minutes early, plus the drive home that undoes a fair share of the calm. That is a 60-minute massage occupying about two and a half hours of your evening.
A home massage at AED 400 costs you the AED 400 and about 65 minutes, most of which you spend lying down. Home massage is not always cheaper on the headline number. It is almost always cheaper on the total.

Where our prices sit
We charge AED 400 for 60 minutes, AED 550 for 90, and AED 680 for 120. Couples sessions with two therapists are AED 800 for 60 minutes, AED 1,000 for 90 and AED 1,200 for 120.
These figures exclude VAT. UAE VAT is 5%, so a 60-minute session comes to AED 420 in total, 90 minutes to AED 577.50, and 120 minutes to AED 714. We would rather you read that here than discover it at the end of the session.
That puts us at the floor of the mid-tier band. We are not the cheapest option in Dubai and we are not going to claim otherwise — budget walk-in centres charge less. What the rate includes: travel anywhere we cover with no call-out fee, the professional table, fresh linen and premium oils, no late-night surcharge, no weekend pricing, and no minimum booking value.
Other than VAT, the price quoted on WhatsApp is the price you pay at the end of the session.
What that rate covers in practice: the full spa home service setup, a home massage anywhere in Dubai, availability 24 hours a day, and a female or male therapist matched to you as standard.
Before you book
Three questions that tell you if a price is fair.
Is the therapist DHA-registered?
Ask directly. A licensed provider answers without hesitating. This is the single most useful question you can ask, and it costs nothing.
Is the quoted price the final price?
Ask specifically about travel fees, night surcharges and minimum booking values. Get the answer in writing on WhatsApp before you confirm.
Do you know who is coming?
Being told a name and a specialty before the session is the sign of a real team rather than a rotating agency roster.
The small print
What "from AED 350" usually hides.
Call-out or travel fee
Common on mobile services outside a core zone — often AED 50–100. We do not charge one anywhere we cover.
Late-night surcharge
Frequently applied after 10pm or midnight. We do not have one; 3am costs the same as 3pm.
Equipment supplement
Added for hot stone and specialist treatments by many providers. Ask whether it is in the headline price.
Weekend or holiday pricing
A separate rate card that only appears when you try to book Friday evening.
Minimum booking value
Quietly forces a 90-minute session when you wanted 60. Check before you pick a time.
VAT added on top
Many Dubai providers quote before VAT. UAE VAT is 5%, so an advertised AED 350 becomes AED 367.50. Ours is quoted ex-VAT too — the useful question for any provider is simply which of the two numbers they are showing you.

How much does a massage cost in Dubai on average?
Most mid-tier 60-minute treatments land between AED 350 and AED 600. The full market runs from about AED 150 at basic walk-in centres to AED 1,200 and above at five-star hotel spas.
Do massage prices in Dubai include VAT?
Not always, and it is worth asking. UAE VAT is 5%. Some providers advertise VAT-inclusive figures and some do not, which makes two price lists look closer than they are. Our own rates are quoted before VAT: AED 400 for 60 minutes is AED 420 including it.
Why is the gap between cheapest and most expensive so big?
Almost entirely facilities and brand. A five-star hotel spa charges you for the building, the changing suites and the name on the door as well as the treatment. The hour of hands-on work is broadly similar across the mid and premium tiers.
Is a more expensive massage better?
Not reliably. Price tracks the venue more closely than it tracks the therapist. A certified, experienced therapist working in your living room can be better than an unremarkable one in a marble spa, and will cost less.
Do home massage services charge extra for travel?
Many do, particularly outside central Dubai. We do not charge a call-out fee or a travel supplement anywhere we cover.
Is there a late-night surcharge for massage in Dubai?
It varies by provider and is common. We do not have one — the rate is the same at 3am as it is at 3pm.
How much should I budget for a 90-minute session?
At a certified mid-tier provider, roughly AED 450 to 700. Ninety minutes is the length most therapists recommend if you want more than one area addressed properly.
Are massage prices in Dubai higher than other cities?
Mid-range prices are broadly comparable to London or Singapore. Dubai's hotel spa tier is high by international standards, which is what pulls the market average up.
Do I need to tip after a massage in Dubai?
Tipping is not obligatory in the UAE and no reputable provider treats it as expected. Many clients round up or add roughly 10 to 15 per cent when they are happy. Some providers add a service charge, which is not the same as a tip and does not necessarily reach the therapist.
