DUBAI MARINA · HEAD, NECK & SHOULDER MASSAGE AT HOME
Head massage in Dubai: an hour of head, neck and shoulder work at your address.
Two things go by the name head massage in Dubai. This is the one done by hand and dry, on a portable couch at your address — no basin, no hair products, nothing washed out afterwards. Sessions run 60, 90 or 120 minutes, and a therapist reaches you in 20 to 30 minutes.

WHICH ONE THIS IS
Two different things are called head massage in Dubai.
We do one of them, and which one matters enough to say first.
The one we do not do is the head spa. You sit back in a reclining chair with your head over a basin. Warm water runs over the scalp, the hair is shampooed and rinsed, and the session works through steam, a scrub, a mask, a serum and a blow-dry at the end. It is a salon service. It needs plumbing, a chair and a shelf of hair products. Dubai has salons that offer it.
What we do is the other one. A therapist comes to your address, sets up a portable massage couch, and works with bare hands, dry. Shoulders and trapezius, the base of the skull and the occipital ridge, the neck, the temples, the jawline, and the scalp. No water, no products, no machines. That is the whole of it, inside a booked 60, 90 or 120-minute session.
So, plainly. We do not wash hair. We do not use shampoo, masks, serums, tonics or any other hair product. We do not steam. We have no basin and no salon chair. And we make no claims about your hair.
That is worth knowing, because the two are booked for different reasons. If it is the basin, the warm water and the blow-dry you are after, book a salon — you will be happier, and we would rather say so now than at your door. If what actually hurts is your neck and your shoulders, and the tension people call a headache sits at the base of your skull and behind your temples, this is the hour.

THE SEQUENCE
What the hour actually is. The scalp is the last ten minutes, not the first fifty.
Most people expect the opposite. But the tension that sends people looking for head work sits lower than the head, and there is little point starting at the top while the shoulders and neck are still holding. The hour works upwards, and the head is where it finishes.
01 · Shoulders and trapezius
The flat sheet of muscle running from the base of the neck out along the top of each shoulder. Broad, firm pressure — the base of the palm, the forearm, thumbs held still on one point. The strongest pressure in the session, and about 15 to 20 minutes of it.
02 · Levator scapulae
The band running from the side of the neck into the top of the shoulder blade. Thumb and fingertips, one short stretch of muscle at a time. About ten minutes.
03 · The base of the skull
Along the occipital ridge, the bony line at the back of the head where the neck muscles attach. Precise and much slower — fingertips held under the ridge a few seconds at a time. Another ten minutes.
04 · The neck
Back and sides, worked between fingers and thumb down to the shoulders.
05 · Temples and jawline
Both light. Small circles with the pads of the fingers, and steady pressure on the muscle above the back teeth. A fraction of the pressure used at the start.
06 · The scalp, last
In sections. Fingertips, small circular movements, the whole hand moving the scalp rather than sliding over it. The least forceful part of the hour, and it lands differently after everything below it.
PRICE
What a head massage in Dubai costs. Three session lengths, one rate.
The rate does not change with what you ask for. AED 400 buys a therapist for an hour and the journey to reach you; the couch and the fresh linen arrive with them. Nothing is added to that figure — not the area, not the hour of the day, not the fact that the time went on your head and neck rather than your back. Head work has never carried a rate of its own.
| Treatment | 60 min | 90 min | 120 min |

All prices exclude 5% VAT — AED 420, AED 577.50 and AED 714 with it, and the second figure is what you actually pay. There is nothing to add on and no minimum to reach. The same three rungs cover every session on the site; our fixed prices for 60, 90 and 120 minutes are set out in one place.

YOUR FIRST SESSION
What to expect, from the message to the door.
Arrival
A therapist sets out once the booking is confirmed and is with you in 20 to 30 minutes, carrying a portable massage couch and sealed fresh linen. That is the whole kit.
Setup
A few minutes, and it is not counted against your session. It needs about two metres of clear floor — living room, bedroom or hotel room, whichever suits you.
You stay dressed
The therapist needs the neck and the tops of the shoulders clear, so a vest top or a wide collar is easiest, and a shirt collar can be folded down instead. Nothing else comes off.
A short conversation
Where you are holding it, and how much pressure you want. Say if you have long hair, braids or extensions and the therapist works around the attachment points.
The session
Shoulders first, scalp last. You can change the pressure at any point — say lighter or firmer and it changes there and then.
The close
Everything the therapist brought leaves with them. Payment at the end, never before — cash, card on a portable terminal, or bank transfer. No deposit.
BOOKING FACTS
Who comes, and what you need to have ready.
Same-gender matching, automatic. Female clients get a female therapist, male clients a male therapist. Nobody has to ask, and the match is settled before anyone sets off. If you would prefer a therapist of the other gender, say so when you book.
Profiles sit on our massage therapist in Dubai page. The six therapists profiled there are women. The male therapists who cover male bookings are not profiled yet — ask on WhatsApp and we will send their credentials before you book, the same as for anyone else.
You provide nothing. The therapist brings the couch, fresh linen and everything else the hour needs. No towels, no chair, no equipment — just somewhere to stand the couch. We are a mobile service; how at-home massage works is set out on its own page.
Credentials before you book, not after. Each therapist is background-checked and holds a Dubai Health Authority registration. Message us on WhatsApp and the credentials of the therapist assigned to your booking come to you before you commit.
Fixed, published prices. A head massage in Dubai costs what any other session of that length costs. The figures and the 5% VAT on them are further down this page.
BEFORE YOU BOOK
A few things worth telling us before the therapist sets off.
If you are pregnant
Tell us when you book, so we can adjust the session.
Recent injury or surgery
Recent neck or head injury, recent surgery around the neck or shoulders, or any current problem in that area under a doctor’s care — tell us before the session. We may work more lightly or leave an area alone.
Broken skin
We do not work over an open wound or an active skin problem on the scalp or neck. If it is one small area the therapist works around it; if it is not, we stop.
New or unusual pain
New or unusual pain in the neck or head that you have not had checked: see a doctor first, not a massage therapist.
This is a relaxation massage, not a medical or hair treatment. If you have a scalp condition, hair loss, or headaches that won’t shift, please see a doctor. We are a massage service, not a healthcare provider. We do not diagnose and we do not treat conditions.
Twenty minutes, or an hour
Most head massage in Dubai is sold twenty minutes at a time: shoulders and scalp, and that is the shape of it. Twenty minutes never gets below the hairline. If a scalp massage on its own is what you want, that is a twenty-minute job, and it is not a job we run.
The difference is scope. Twenty minutes reaches the scalp and the top of the shoulders and stops there. An hour reaches the trapezius, the levator scapulae, the base of the skull and the jaw — the places the tension is actually sitting — and still leaves ten minutes for the scalp. The extra forty minutes are not the same thing done for longer. They are the parts a short session never gets to.
Ninety and 120 minutes add time at the front, not at the top. The head work stays where it is; what grows is the slower pass through the shoulders and upper back before it.
What happens to your hair. Nothing goes in, nothing washes out.
YOUR HAIR
We work dry, with bare hands. Nothing goes into your hair. No product, no water, nothing to be washed out afterwards, because nothing has been put in. You leave with your hair as it was when the therapist arrived.
That is the practical point of it. A head massage in Dubai at home fits inside a normal day: book before work, book before going out in the evening, or take an hour in the middle of the afternoon between two other things. There is no damp hair afterwards, no towel, and no rearranging the rest of your evening around it.
Long hair is worked in sections. The therapist parts it, works one section, and moves to the next, tying it up or moving it aside as they go. You do not need to do anything to it beforehand, and it does not need to be freshly washed. Product already in there is not a problem either — gel, wax, whatever is in it. The therapist works around it. Braids, extensions or a weave are fine: say so at the start and the therapist keeps pressure off the attachment points and works the scalp between them.
We work on the scalp, not on the hair. The other dry, fully clothed session on this site is Thai massage in Dubai Marina.
GOOD TO KNOW
Questions we get asked about head massage in Dubai.
How much is a head massage in Dubai?
The same as any other hour we run — AED 400 for 60 minutes, AED 550 for 90, AED 680 for 120, plus 5% VAT. Head work has no rate of its own. An hour of head, neck and shoulder massage is charged like an hour of anything else.
Do you only work on my head?
No. Most of the hour is below the hairline. The therapist starts on the shoulders and the trapezius, moves to the levator scapulae, then to the base of the skull and the occipital ridge, then the neck, the temples and the jaw. The scalp comes last, and it is the shortest part of the session.
Do you wash my hair?
No. There is no basin, no water, no shampoo and no product of any kind. The therapist works with dry, bare hands. Your hair gets moved around and will want a brush afterwards, but nothing is put in it and nothing has to come out.
Do you do the kind with the basin and the wash?
No. What you are describing is a head spa, and it is a salon service: a reclining chair, a basin, warm water over the scalp, shampoo, steam, a scrub or a mask, and a dry-off at the end. It is a different trade from ours. If you want the wash and the scalp treatment, book a salon — that is the right place for it.
Will this do anything for my hair?
No. We make no claims about hair, and we would rather say that plainly than dress it up. Hair and scalp treatments are a beauty service — products, water, a salon, a licence we do not hold. We are a massage service. We work on the scalp, meaning the skin and muscle over the skull, and not on the hair. Anyone promising hair results is selling something else.
Can it help my headaches?
We do not treat headaches, and we do not treat any condition. What we can tell you is where the hour goes. Most people carry it in the jaw, the temples and the base of the skull: the tension people call a headache. All three are worked in every session, and the base of the skull takes about ten minutes on its own. If you get headaches that will not shift, that is a medical question, and you should see a doctor.
Why is there no 30-minute option?
Our shortest session is 60 minutes. The drive across the city and the couch that gets carried up do not shrink when the massage does, so nothing shorter than an hour is worth putting in a diary. And half an hour on the head is the scalp and very little else, where an hour reaches the trapezius, the skull base, the neck and the jaw before it.
Do I need to undress?
No. You stay dressed. The therapist needs the neck and the tops of the shoulders clear, so a vest top or a wide collar is easiest, and a shirt collar can be folded down instead. Nothing else comes off.
What if I have long hair?
It makes no difference to the work. Tie it up or leave it loose, whichever you prefer — the therapist sections it by hand as they go. Braids, extensions or a weave are fine: say so at the start and the therapist keeps pressure off the attachment points and works the scalp between them. Nothing is applied, and nothing is pulled.
Can I have a male or a female therapist?
You do not need to ask. Same-gender matching is our default, and the therapist’s name and gender reach you on WhatsApp before anyone sets off. If you would prefer a therapist of the other gender, say so when you book.
Do you come to hotels?
Yes. Hotel rooms, serviced apartments, apartments and villas, all at the same rate. Send the hotel name, the room number and the name the room is booked under. The couch fits in a standard hotel room.
How soon can someone arrive?
Twenty to thirty minutes from the point the booking is confirmed, in all ten areas we cover. Someone answers WhatsApp 24 hours a day. You can also book ahead for a set time later in the day or later in the week.
