A four hands massage is one session with two therapists working on you at the same time, matching each other stroke for stroke. Both arrive at your apartment, hotel or villa in Dubai Marina, JBR, Bluewaters, Emaar Beachfront or Palm Jumeirah with the table, linen and oil. 60, 90 or 120 minutes, from AED 800 excluding VAT.
It is not a couples massage. There is one guest on one table, and both therapists are there for you.

What it is
What a four hands massage is, in plain words.
Two therapists stand on either side of the table. They agree the sequence and the pressure before they start, then work as a mirror: while one works your left shoulder, the other works your right, at the same speed and the same depth.
Sometimes they split up on purpose. One works your back while the other works your legs or feet. Then they come together again.
What it feels like. With one therapist, your body follows the hands and waits for the next stroke. With two, there is too much going on to follow. Most people stop trying and simply let go. That is the whole point of a 4 hand massage.
What it is not. It is not twice the pressure. Two therapists cover more of you at once; they do not press twice as hard. If you want the deepest possible work on one area, a deep tissue massage with one therapist is the better booking.

Four hands or couples massage?
The names get mixed up, so here is the difference.
Four hands massage. One guest, one table, two therapists working on you together. You get both therapists for the whole session.
Couples massage. Two guests, two tables, one therapist each, in the same room at the same time. Each of you picks your own style and pressure.
Both bring two therapists to your address, so both cost the same. If you are booking a gift or an anniversary for two people, you want the couples massage. If the treat is for one person, it is four hands.
Four hands massage price
Two therapists, nothing on top.
Every session that brings two therapists costs the same on our menu, so a four hands massage is the couples rate. You are paying for two trained people for the full session, plus their travel, the table, linen and oil. In Dubai, four hands at a hotel spa usually costs AED 940 to 1,050 for an hour, before you add the taxi.

How a four hands session runs.
Book a little ahead
Two therapists must be free at the same time, so an hour or two of notice is best. We confirm both names before we accept the booking.
Both arrive together
Plain professional attire, one table, linen, towels and oil. They set up in about ten minutes with room to walk around the table.
One pressure, agreed once
They ask where you are tight and how firm you like it, then match that pressure on both sides. Say lighter or firmer at any time.
The session, then quiet
They work in sync to the end and pack away while you rest. Drink some water and take your time getting up.
Who performs it
Therapists who work well in pairs.
We pair two therapists with a similar style and pressure, so both sides of your body feel the same. These four are often paired for four hands sessions. All are DHA-registered, licence-checked and insured. Ask for a pair by name; if one is busy, we tell you before we confirm.

Space
About three square metres, with room to walk around both sides of the table. A living room or hotel suite is usually fine.
Notice
An hour or two ahead is best. Late-night bookings work; just message early.
Therapists
Tell us if you prefer female therapists. Both therapists in a session are the same gender.

Start with four hands Swedish for 60 or 90 minutes, at medium pressure.
Pregnancy
Four hands is not offered during pregnancy. Book a prenatal massage with one therapist instead.
Covered throughout
You stay draped with a towel. Only the area being worked on is uncovered, and underwear stays on.

Not by itself. Two therapists cover more of the body at once; they do not press twice as hard. Ask for firm pressure if you want it, or book deep tissue with one therapist for focused depth.
How much space do I need?
About three square metres with room to walk around both sides of the table. Most living rooms and hotel suites are big enough. Send a photo if you are not sure.
