The treatment
What Traditional Thai actually is.
No oil, no table, no undressing. You stay in loose clothing on a floor mat while the therapist uses palms, forearms, knees and feet to compress along the body’s energy lines, then moves you through a sequence of assisted stretches.
It feels less like being massaged and more like being carefully unfolded. Clients regularly report a range of movement they had quietly written off.
Bring
Loose trousers and a t-shirt. We bring the mat.
Why people book it
What you should expect
to get out of it.
Mobility you can feel immediately
Assisted stretching opens hips, hamstrings and shoulders in a way oil work cannot reach.
No oil, no shower, no undressing
Fully clothed on a mat, so it fits a working day and a hotel suite equally well.
Excellent after long flights
Compression and stretching move fluid out of tired legs faster than a massage table does.
Pressure without a table
Body weight through palms and forearms goes deeper than hands alone, with no bracing.

Therapist name, arrival time, final price. Ploy is the therapist most often requested for this.
Mat, not table
The therapist rolls out a mat — no oil, no undressing, no shower needed afterwards.
Stretch, then stand up

Afterwards
Getting the most
out of the hour.
What you do in the day after a session decides how long it holds. None of it is complicated.
- Move for ten minutes afterwards — a slow walk beats sitting down
- Water, then a light meal rather than a heavy one
- Repeat the two stretches your therapist shows you at the end
- Expect to feel it in the hips tomorrow in a good way
Case notes
Three bookings,
three different problems.
What people came to Traditional Thai with, and what changed. Names are shortened and buildings named with permission.
-
Hips that had stopped working
Nine hours a day at a desk had shortened everything through the hips. Ploy moved her through positions she could not have reached alone. No oil, so she went straight out afterwards.
-
Off a long-haul in economy
Books it every time he lands now. His view is that compression and stretching move fluid out of tired legs faster than anything done lying still on a table.
-
Booked in a lunch break
Chose Thai specifically because there is no oil and no undressing. Loose trousers, a mat on the living room floor, and no shower to schedule around.
Questions
Before you book.
Do I need to be flexible?
No. The therapist works to your range, not an ideal one, and every stretch is supported.
Does it hurt?
It is firm and unusual rather than painful. Say so at the moment anything feels sharp and the position changes immediately.
What should I wear?
Loose trousers and a t-shirt. No jeans, no belts, nothing restrictive at the hips.
Do I need a shower afterwards?
No — there is no oil. This is the treatment to book when you have somewhere to be afterwards.
